Escribí una cháchara introductoria interminable e inmamable acerca de los cambios de la “industria” durante 2013. Decidí que no son necesarios mayores argumentos, y que el año fue bueno para la música y punto. El regreso del álbum y de las majors, la consolidación de los servicios de streaming, la proliferación de festivales en la región, etc.

Como decía el comercial de las crayolas, la cosa pinta bien.

10| Portugal. the Man – Evil Friends

Nos sorprendió el sencillo promocional y el álbum entregó 4 cortes sólidos adicionales. La producción de Danger Mouse pudo haber tenido mucho que ver, pero de cualquier forma estos muchachos se establecieron en el mainstream con ‘Evil Friends’, lo que quiera que signifique eso. Estéreo Picnic será buena oportunidad para evaluar su entrega en directo.

9| Charles King – Champeta Fever!!

La champeta regresa a reclamar el trono que le fue robado a punta de dem-bow y auto-tune, y en 2013 el Rey entregó toda su finura en esta muestra de lo que Colombia es capaz de enseñar cuando cree en sus raíces y deja de replicar modelos importados.

Casi no regresan los mixtapes. ¿La culpa? Mía porque no me organicé bien, y un poco de las disqueras que no dejaron colgar mucho material. Así que por lo pronto los invito a seguir mi perfil en Deezer, que ahí sí cuelgo vainas seguido. Porque Deezer es chévere. Y porque más o menos me toca.

Pero no hay lío… el mixtape bailable seguirá siendo una prioridad así a veces nos coja un poco la noche para colgarlo.
