Los planes cambian y siempre hay que estar abierto a eso. Tenía pensado un programa con pocas canciones, para darle paso a las de Grails y LCD Soundsystem, pero en los últimos días llegaron novedades importantes y no podía dejarlos por ahí sin enterarse (aunque yo sé que ustedes tienen sus fuentes y no dependen de esto).

Hay rotación de Hey Rosetta! y clásicos de Fleetwood Mac y LCD Soundsystem. Después del corte (haciendo click en “Siga leyendo”) queda la entrevista y última presentación en televisión (gringa) de James Murphy como LCD Soundsystem en el Colbert Report.

Siempre que hago un podcast con buena cantidad de bandas conocidas me da miedo que el siguiente vaya a decepcionar, aunque creo que hasta el momento no ha sido el caso.

Tuvimos una semana movida con varios lanzamientos importantes, pero no tenemos de esas canciones por acá. Dejaremos que se aburran de oír eso en otros lugares.

Creo que ustedes y yo anticipabamos que esta sería una emisión complicada. Mucha banda grande regalando música por ahí y mucha propuesta desconocida de alta calidad.

Hace rato no tenemos uno de estos. Bueno, tuvimos el Mixtape Bailable 2010, pero eso es otro cuento.

Aquí traemos lo mejor de Diciembre y Enero, entre lo mucho que nos dejan poner las disqueras, a nuestro gusto y elección.

Abrimos con una versión de ese clásico de Minutemen, hecho famoso por unos desadaptados adictos al dolor. Calexico se luce en ésta. El otro corte no-nuevo va de la mano de The Baby Shakes.

También incluímos algunos favoritos de la audiencia (Apex Manor, Fergus & Geronimo), gente que podría dar de que hablar pronto (Charles Bradley, Hooded Fang, Tennis, Devin Therriault, Middle Brother) y además bandas que a lo mejor han oído nombrar por ahí (Bright Eyes, The Rural Alberta Advantage).
